Custom Antibody Production ServicesCustom laboratory services are available for conjugation of your antigen to a carrier protein for immunizations and for antibody characterization, purification and modification at the end of your protocol. Our scientists can also perform computer-assisted analysis of peptide sequences to identify probable immunogenic regions as well as peptide synthesis services if this is desired. We can follow an immunization and bleeding schedule at your request, or work with you to develop a production program suitable for your needs. Since there can be significant animal to animal variation in immune response, we suggest that you put a minimum of two to three animals on each antigen in order to maximize the production of an antibody that will meet your needs. Immunization programs generally involve immunizations every two, three or four weeks. These immunizations can be intradermal, sub-cutaneous, intramuscular, or intravenous, depending on the nature of the immunogen and your needs. If adjuvant is required, we recommend and supply Freund's adjuvant. Other adjuvants are an additional cost, or you may supply them. We recommend that test bleeds be taken after the 2nd or 3rd immunization, with weekly or biweekly production bleeds starting once the antibody titer is sufficiently high. We will process the blood, and supply you with raw serum labeled with animal number, date bled and approximate volume. Serum is not pooled unless requested. Shipments of the bleeds can be scheduled according to your needs. You supply the immunogen ready to use, and we provide all normal boosting and bleeding supplies and reagents as well as routine veterinary care for the animals. Our daily charge is based on our typical immunization and bleed schedules, and usually includes some procedures each month (except for the chickens). Additional immunizations and bleeds, or unusual procedures, would be billed accordingly. Please select a service below for more information: | ||||||||
